When Amber and Sid reached out to us, they knew they wanted their Las Vegas elopement to feel personal and fun. They booked our two-hour photo and Super 8 package with a 35mm film add-on, bringing together everything they loved about nostalgic storytelling and classic Vegas energy. They also knew one very important guest needed to be there… their dog, Raider.

Amber and Sid chose Sure Thing Chapel for their ceremony, one of our favorite pet-friendly Las Vegas elopement locations. Their day was filled with sweet moments, a little Vegas chaos, and plenty of time to explore the city together!

A Pet-Friendly Sure Thing Chapel Elopement

One of the things we love about Sure Thing Chapel is how welcoming they are to pets. Over the years, we’ve seen so many couples bring their dogs and even cats into the chapel to be part of their ceremony. It adds so much personality and makes the experience feel even more like your own. For Amber and Sid, Raider had an important job. He was their ring bearer!

Their ceremony was short, sweet, and focused on the two of them. They exchanged heartfelt vows, said their “I dos,” and celebrated surrounded by their closest family and friends. Afterward, we captured family photos before spending the rest of our time at the chapel focusing on the newlyweds. We ended their time at Sure Thing Chapel with a grand exit outside. Their guests cheered them on as they walked out together, officially married and ready to continue their Vegas adventure.

Classic Vegas Photos at El Cortez and Plaza Hotel

After leaving the chapel, we headed downtown for some iconic Las Vegas photos. Our first stop was El Cortez for classic slot machine photos. The vintage casino atmosphere fits so well with film photography, especially when paired with Super 8. The textures, lights, and old-school Vegas details create images that feel like they came straight out of another era.

One of Amber and Sid’s must-have locations was Plaza Hotel & Casino. Their entire elopement was inspired by The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” music video, which is why Sid chose the outfit he did. They wanted that vintage Vegas nightlife energy, and Plaza was the perfect match.

Before heading inside, Amber changed into another outfit while we spent some time photographing Sid and Raider. Sid even had inspiration photos featuring The Weeknd and his Doberman, so naturally, we had to recreate that energy with Raider. Once Amber came back, we made our way inside the casino for their final photos.

A Million Dollar Vegas Surprise

Normally, photographing inside casino floors can be tricky. Especially when it comes to table games. Getting permission to photograph in those areas isn’t always easy, and we usually don’t plan on it unless it’s already approved. But Amber and Sid got incredibly lucky!

While we were there, the Plaza marketing team was already on the casino floor creating content. When they saw a newly married couple, they were immediately excited. They loved the idea of capturing their story so much that they went upstairs and came back with a fake check celebrating their “million dollar win.” It was such a fun surprise and completely matched the energy of their day.
