Maria and Tommy came into their Las Vegas elopement with one clear plan: keep it simple, keep it fun, and make it feel like them from start to finish. We couldn’t agree more with their goals to have a playful Las Vegas elopement! The entire day carried playful energy that never felt forced or overthought. Instead of building a packed timeline, they focused on being present with each other and letting the day happen naturally. This is exactly what made it so memorable!
They also made a bold choice that shaped the entire feel of their day. They opted for film-only elopement photography, so we captured everything on 35mm film for photos and Super 8 for video. No digital backups, no instant previews, just full trust in the process and a commitment to something more intentional. As a Las Vegas elopement photographer and videographer duo, we love how they embraced our art!

Choosing to have your elopement documented on film only is a completely different experience than going digital. There’s no checking the back of the camera. No adjusting on the fly. And no safety net. Behind the lens, we consider every frame and feel every moment. The pace slowed down, and that’s exactly what made everything feel so easy and in the moment!
While some couples worry that film means sacrificing quality, the reality is much more nuanced. Film has been used to document love stories for decades (long before digital cameras existed!) and it continues to stand out for a reason. The soft grain, true-to-life colors, and subtle imperfections like light leaks create images that feel organic and lived-in rather than overly polished.
That’s also why experience matters so much. Shooting film requires a deep understanding of light, timing, and movement. When it’s done well, the result is something that feels both elevated and deeply personal. Maria and Tommy didn’t hesitate when it came to this choice. They leaned in fully, and that trust is reflected in every part of their gallery!

Their ceremony took place at Sure Thing Too in downtown Las Vegas, and it was intentional and simple. It was just the two of them, standing together without distractions, focusing entirely on each other and the commitment they were making to each other.
There’s something about stripping a wedding day back to its core that shifts the energy completely. Without a crowd or a packed schedule, everything feels more grounded and present. Their ceremony carried that feeling from beginning to end, creating space for quiet emotion alongside the excitement of the day.
Afterward, we moved into some of the more playful, iconic parts of the experience! The chapel bathroom photos brought in that slightly gritty, behind-the-scenes Vegas energy. From there, we stepped outside just as golden hour hit and captured them with their classic car. It felt like the perfect transition from the ceremony to the celebration! The light wrapped around them in a way that only film can fully do justice.

Once we left the chapel, the day shifted into a more exploratory pace as we headed into downtown Las Vegas. Their first stop as newlyweds was Evel Pie, where they grabbed pizza.
From there, we made our way to the Carousel Bar, where they ordered drinks and settled in with their slices. They didn’t need a plan or prompts… just sitting together, soaking in the night, and letting the magic of being newlyweds take over.
As the evening continued, we wandered through downtown. The neon, the textured walls, and the city’s nonstop energy gave everything such a fun, alive vibe! Each stop added something new, spontaneous, and true to them.

Maria and Tommy booked a two hour session, and it was exactly what their day needed. Without overextending the timeline, they were able to stay present and fully enjoy each part of the experience without feeling rushed or pulled in too many directions.
This is what makes a playful Las Vegas elopement so impactful! When you remove expectations and focus on what actually matters, the entire day becomes more intentional without losing its sense of fun.
Pairing that kind of energy with film adds another layer entirely. The combination of movement, texture, and emotion creates elopement photos that feel like a memory you can step back into.
