A Film Inspired Sure Thing Chapel Elopement in Las Vegas

Georgie and Mat understood the assignment the second they walked through the doors of Sure Thing Chapel. This elopement was loud in the best way — full of style, joy, and that infectious energy you can’t fake. They flew all the way from Australia and somehow managed to bring every single good vibe with them. Add in their guests cheering them on, and what could’ve been a quick courthouse-style moment turned into a full-on celebration. The outfits, the laughter, the way everyone showed up so fully present — it was immediately clear this was exactly the kind of wedding day we want more of.

They also booked us for digital, 35mm film, and Super 8, which sealed the deal for us. We are deep in our film era, and this day was the perfect reminder of why. Film captures movement differently. It holds texture, imperfection, and emotion in a way nothing else quite can. Layering digital, film, and Super 8 together allowed their story to feel rich, nostalgic, and alive — the kind of memories that don’t just document the day, but let you feel it all over again.

A Heartfelt Ceremony for a Sure Thing Chapel Elopement

The ceremony itself was one of those moments where you can feel the room shift. Georgie was walked down the aisle by her brother, and honestly, that was all it took — instant tears, instant lump in the throat. As Faye Webster played softly in the background, everything felt intimate and perfectly timed, like the day knew exactly what it was doing. There was laughter, there were tears, and there were those in-between moments where everyone was half-smiling, half-wiping their eyes, trying to keep it together (and failing a little).

After the ceremony, Georgie and Mat shared their first dance right there in the chapel, and it felt quietly unreal in the best way!! No rush, no crowding, just them soaking it all in. Then they did something even better — they invited everyone else in. Watching their guests squeeze onto the floor, laughing, dancing, and fully leaning into the moment felt so on brand for the day. This Sure Thing Chapel elopement wasn’t about perfection or rules. It was about connection, presence, and celebrating in a way that felt natural, honest, and very, very them.

Chaotic Photo Booth Photos + Downtown LV Adventures

One of the most fun moments of the day happened when Georgie and Mat decided the photo booth wasn’t just for them — it was for everyone. They pulled their guests right in, and the result was pure chaos in the best possible way. The kind of photos you don’t pose for, you just exist in. Laughing mid-blink, arms around each other, zero awareness of the camera. Little time capsules of pure happiness we couldn’t stop smiling at.

From there, we took the party into downtown Las Vegas. Ferguson’s Downtown, a convenience store stop, Atomic Liquors, El Cortez, Plaza Casino, Carousel Bar — each stop brought a totally different vibe. Neon lights, gritty textures, quiet in-between moments, and bursts of loud laughter all layered together to tell the story exactly as it unfolded. Nothing felt forced. We just followed the energy and let Vegas do what Vegas does best.

We wrapped the night at In-N-Out, which was Georgie and Mat’s very first time (a truly iconic moment). Their guests joined in too, making it even better. Watching a group of Australians experience In-N-Out in full wedding attire is something we’ll never forget. Playful, fun, a little edgy, and absolutely the perfect way to end a Sure Thing Chapel elopement.

The Perfect Sure Thing Chapel Elopement Captured on Film

This day is such a perfect reminder of why we love these weddings so much. The style. The intention. Guests who are fully in it. Couples who trust us to capture everything as it unfolds — on digital, 35mm film, and Super 8. Georgie and Mat didn’t just plan a wedding, they created a celebration! And, it felt completely true to them and invited everyone along for the ride.

From the quiet, emotional moments to the loud, joyful ones, every part of the day had movement and meaning. Nothing felt stiff or staged — it all flowed naturally, and film captured that energy in a way we’ll never get over. If you’re dreaming of a Sure Thing Chapel elopement that feels fun, personal, and alive in all the right ways… consider this your sign.
