Koren and Kenneth flew in from Chicago to attend the When We Were Young festival in Las Vegas—but they didn’t just come for the music. With their closest friends and family already in town for the weekend, they decided it was the perfect time to tie the knot and elope at the iconic Sure Thing Chapel.
We kicked off their wedding day downtown, meeting in front of Fergusons Downtown just as golden hour started to glow. It was the perfect backdrop to capture those pre-ceremony nerves and excitement. From there, we wandered up the street to the El Cortez Casino to snag some classic Vegas slot machine shots—something Kenneth specifically requested to honor the vibe of their city escape.
From there, we made our way to Sure Thing Chapel, where their guests were already waiting with huge smiles and even bigger excitement. As the chapel doors opened, we were greeted by none other than Lady Elvis herself—yes, the Queen of Rock officiated their ceremony with all the flair and charm you’d hope for in a Vegas elopement.
If you’re thinking about eloping at Sure Thing Chapel, here’s something fun to know: they’ll ask if you want to walk down the aisle together or separately. Koren and Kenneth chose to be walked down by their moms, which was such a sweet and meaningful touch. You also get to pick your own aisle song—which means your ceremony can feel exactly like you.
The ceremony was beautiful—intimate, emotional, and full of personality. Koren and Kenneth stood in front of all their favorite people and exchanged vows that had everyone tearing up. One of the sweetest details? Koren’s bouquet included their dog’s collar, a heartfelt nod to their pup who couldn’t make it to the celebration.
But in true Vegas style, the night took a wild turn in the best way. As soon as the ceremony ended, guests were surprised with a burlesque show—and it did not disappoint. Dollars were flying, the laughs were loud, and let’s just say, there was plenty of skin. It was unexpected, hilarious, and the perfect touch of fun to follow up such a meaningful moment.
After the show, Koren and Kenneth popped into the photobooth (a must-do at Sure Thing Chapel!) and then we took some playful, joy-filled photos around the chapel to cap off the night. Every part of their elopement felt so personal, stylish, and so them—the kind of day that reminds you why Vegas weddings are truly one of a kind.
To close out the night, we made our way over to Carousel Bar, where Koren and Kenneth celebrated with a champagne spray that felt straight out of a movie. It was the perfect mix of messy, fun, and absolutely iconic. But of course, we couldn’t wrap things up without taking full advantage of the sparkly Vegas lights and glowing neon signs—a dream backdrop for their final portraits of the night.
From start to finish, their day was filled with love, laughter, and everything that makes Las Vegas elopements so unforgettable. A music festival, a black dress, Lady Elvis, burlesque, and all the sparkle? Koren and Kenneth’s wedding was nothing short of epic.
Thinking about ditching tradition and doing things your own way? Whether you’re eloping during a festival weekend or planning something totally offbeat, Vegas has endless possibilities—and I’d love to help you capture every wild, beautiful, unforgettable moment.
